The farewell program for the final year B.Ed. students [Batch: 2023-2025] was held on the May 30 this year by the semester 2 department of B. Ed. students with great enthusiasm and heartfelt emotions, marking a memorable closure to their journey in Loreto College. The event was a well-orchestrated blend of cultural expressions, gratitude, and celebration of the time spent together.
The program commenced with an introductory speech that warmly welcomed the audience and set the tone for the evening. This was followed by the Lighting of the Lamp by our Teacher in Charge Dr. Sister A. Nirmala and the Head of the Department of B.Ed., Dr. Kaustuva Banerjee. A serene and reflective Prayer Service was then conducted, invoking blessings for the outgoing students. This spiritual segment was beautifully complemented by a graceful Prayer Dance, performed with devotion and elegance.
The atmosphere then turned vibrant with a Medley performance, energizing the audience and showcasing the students' musical talents. A touching Shantiniketan Video was screened, capturing cherished memories and moments of joy, bonding, and growth. This visual tribute was followed by a Dance Drama that combined storytelling and performance art. The act Anusmriti - A Line of Memory poignantly showcased the plight of women who have been wronged throughout history, yet were ironically upheld as role models for women across the globe-celebrated not for their empowerment, but for the sacrifices they were compelled to make. Then, the Presidents and Vice-Presidents of various clubs of the Department of B.Ed. shared their insightful and thought-provoking contributions, highlighting their impactful roles in enriching the department. Following this, a digital calendar was showcased, creatively presenting the events organized by Semester 04 and Semester 02 students-beautifully stringing together the memorable activities undertaken throughout the academic journey.
The Semester 4 students further enriched the program with vibrant dance and soulful musical performances, adding energy and charm to the celebration. A heartwarming PowerPoint presentation was also showcased, capturing cherished memories of our seniors-each moment beautifully tied together with love and nostalgia.
The event concluded with a speech by our revered Sister Nirmala and respected Dr. Kaustuva Banerjee that reflected on the journey, expressed gratitude, and extended best wishes to the outgoing batch. Finally, little gifts were given to the final year students. The farewell program was a perfect blend of nostalgia, joy, and hope, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone present.
